The Park Comes to Life
As Yosemite begins to thaw, spring reveals a landscape in motion: rushing waterfalls, waking wildlife, blooming meadows, and crisp, refreshing air. It’s a season that invites you outside, with trails that showcase the park at its most dynamic. From valley walks to higher-elevation routes, spring offers a fresh way to experience Yosemite’s iconic scenery.

- Dress in Layers: Temperatures can vary widely in spring. Dress in layers to stay comfortable as you hike through changing weather.
- Check Weather Conditions: Spring weather can be unpredictable, and some trails may still have snow, ice, or be muddy. Always check the National Park Service website for up-to-date conditions.
- Pack for Safety: Bring extra water, snacks, and spikes or crampons, in case you encounter snowy/icy sections on trail. Don’t forget a map or GPS device!
- Watch for Wildlife: Spring is a busy time for wildlife as animals emerge from hibernation. Keep a safe distance and do not feed any animals you encounter.
