From Wawona Stables, guided horseback and mule rides follow historic trails through open meadows, pine forest, and along the paths once traveled by early visitors to the park.

Shorter rides trace the Meadow Loop, offering a relaxed, scenic introduction with views of Wawona Hotel, surrounding forest, and the landscape that has shaped Yosemite’s history. Longer rides venture deeper into the park, reaching toward the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias for a more immersive experience.

No experience is needed, and the pace is steady, making it an approachable way to see Yosemite from a different perspective—one that feels a little more connected to the land.
